I’m not sure if MGM and Fox have decided to release this new, remastered Blu-ray edition of Oliver Stone‘s Platoon in honour of the film’s 25th Anniversary or to recognize Memorial Day or simply to take advantage of all the heat surrounding Charlie Sheen at the moment. Whatever the reason, I’ll be happy to add the disc to my collection, if it sports a transfer worthy of the film itself. It’ll be in stores on May 24th.
