It’s only been a couple of weeks since Lucasfilm and Fox announced their upcoming 9-disc Star Wars: The Complete Saga Blu-ray disc boxed set. The press release and the CES announcement revealed a September 2011 release for the set but didn’t go so far as to provide a specific street date. Now, Amazon.com has informed those who pre-ordered the full Saga, Prequel Trilogy or Original Trilogy that they can expect their shipments to arrive on the release date of September 27th, which just happens to be a Tuesday (the day most new discs hit the shops.) Until Fox confirms this date, it must be considered rumour but Amazon has proven time and again that their information can be trusted, so until we hear otherwise, I think we can count on the 27th being the real deal. More information as it’s revealed!
