I’m really looking forward to watching Iron Man 2 again. It’s a flawed film – rushed into production and filled with character missteps (Tony Stark’s drunken battle with his best friend, being the most offensive example I can think of off the top of my head) – but still so much fun to watch. This trailer for the Blu-ray release of the film is sadly quite low-res, making it difficult to get too jazzed about the all the special-feature sneak-peeks thrown in. I have a feeling the YouTube uploader snatched it off of the Amazon page for the disc. But check it out anyway. It’s got me excited for September 28th! How about you? Did you dig the sequel? Lost in Translation Blu-ray available for pre-order

This is some damn-hot news! Criterion Collection to bring Zwigoff, Clowes’ Ghost World to Blu-ray in 2011?

If you read my recent review of The Criterion Collection release of Terry Zwigoff’s Crumb on Blu-ray, you’re no doubt aware of my passion for comic books. And it just so happens that one of my all-time favourite comics is Daniel Clowes’ brilliant Ghost World, adapted into a film by Zwigoff in 2001. Well, the news of the day, as far as I’m concerned is that we might just be seeing the film starring Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson on Criterion Blu sometime next year, if Zwigoff has anything to say about it. …Continued…
