I can’t say that I was really “Knocked Out” by the newest in a long line of ultra-raw thai fight films. BKO: Bangkok Knockout is brought to us by the same folks responsible for the infinitely superior Ong Bak and Chocolate but lacks the story and star power of those flicks. Thankfully, the fights are great and the Blu-ray looks pretty slick. …Continued…
Produced and directed by the same team that brought Ong Bak and Tom yum goong (The Protector) to the screen, Chocolate, at its core a simple gangland vengeance film, is merely a shade of those much finer efforts. For all of the faults of its poorly constructed script, it does, however provide a perfect showcase for the talents of the beautiful and impressive Jeeja Yanin, the breakout star of the film. …Continued…
