Well, I have to say that I’m disappointed that Black Swan didn’t pick up a few more golden statues at the Academy Awards last night. I don’t really put much stock in award programs but I’m such a fan of director Darren Aronofsky and would love to see him recognized for the work he does. There’s little hope that his next film, The Wolverine, will receive any accolades beyond those showered on him by X-Men fans, elated that he will have rescued the franchise from sequel hell, so it’s a real shame that Black Swan lost out (not to diminish Natalie Portman‘s Best Actress award or anything). I’m very pleased, though, that Fox has finally announced the release of the film on Blu-ray. …Continued…
