Top 5 New Blu-ray releases for the Week of November 30

My head is still buzzing from the Black Friday/Cyber Monday madness! I spent waaaay too much money on Blu-ray discs over the last week (like I really needed more.) I should learn to exert a modicum of self control with these things. Anyway, I think you’ll find this weeks new releases to be a somewhat calm return to normalcy, with a bunch of underwhelming new titles and some surprising catalogue ones. Animated 9 comes to Blu-ray in December

Shane Acker made an animated short film called 9 in 2005. It was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2009, Universal and Focus Features released Acker’s updated, big-budget, CGI, feature length take on his story, replete with Hollywood stars voicing the characters and Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) as producers.
