Animated 9 comes to Blu-ray in December

Shane Acker made an animated short film called 9 in 2005. It was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2009, Universal and Focus Features released Acker’s updated, big-budget, CGI, feature length take on his story, replete with Hollywood stars voicing the characters and Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) as producers.
