Criterion announces December Blu-ray titles: Videodrome, Cronos

I’ve got three words to say to here – Mike. Mignola. Cover.

Okay, maybe a couple of those three words were names but you get my drift, right? Not only is Criterion serving up two amazing cult films for the holiday season, but one of them, Guillermo del Toro‘s debut film Cronos, sports a cover by Mignola, one of the greatest living comic book illustrators around! Drool-factor for this batch of Blu-ray discs just went up by a factor of ten. Here’s hoping that Criterion releases more del Toro films (I’m praying for The Devil’s Backbone in particular) sporting matching art by the Hellboy comic-book creator.
