Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology Blu-Ray Box March 10th (updated)

You Made Me!

“You Made Me…Made Me Late For My American BD Date!”

Bill Hunt of TheDigitalBits.com has confirmed with Warner Home Video representatives that we’ll be seeing a Blu-ray release of the Burton/Schumacher Batman films sooner rather than later. Suspicions of an imminent release were raised when a Japanese Blu-ray announcement was followed directly by UK release dates – usually a damn good sign that we’re going to see an announcement for the North American region. The discs will most likely street as individual discs as well as the Motion Picture Anthology box set alongside the DVD re-releases, already announced for February 10th.

Here’s a look at the covers Amazon has posted for the UK versions of the discs:

UPDATE: Hunt has given readers an update, stating that his source claims that the discs will now be rescheduled and will be arriving later than expected. Rest assured, they will eventually see release. It just looks like we’ll have to hold on beyond February to get our dirty mitts on them.

UPDATE #2: Street date March 10th – CONFIRMED!

  2. I have the standard DVD set and while these are great, especially the first 2 films, the commentary tracks by Tim Burton are some of the worst I’ve ever listened to.
