Blu-ray Picks for the Week of September 29 – The Wizard of Oz

What a huge release week filled with amazing titles! Sadly, I haven’t gotten my hands on a single Blu-ray disc yet so I can’t out-and-out recommend any of them from personal experience. But if I had to put my money on any one of these titles being a spectacular and worthwhile purchase, I’d have to bet on The Wizard of Oz: 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition. …Continued…

The Dark Crystal Blu-ray Details Confirmed

And the details for the upcoming UK release are just stoking the fire! I think we can safely assume that the North American edition of Labyrinth will mimic the UK, including an identical rich feature set. Even if the film itself fails to please me, the commentary, making-of doc and picture-in-picture features will provide me hours of nerdgasm. I can’t help but wonder if any of the extras will address the mystery of the Bowie-package… …Continued…
