[UPDATED] Hobo with a Shotgun coming to Blu-ray in July

Oh man, they could’ve just called this film Rutger Hauer with a Shotgun and I’d be in! There aren’t any details yet and even the package art is temporary but it looks like Magnolia Pictures will be releasing recent cult sensation Hobo with a Shotgun on Blu-ray this coming July 5th. Amazon has the disc available for pre-order, sporting an MSRP of $29.98 but currently selling for $20.99, their standard 30% off deal. …Continued…

Ong Bak 2: The Beginning Blu-ray Disc Review

I’m fairly certain that Tony Jaa is not a real human being. If he were flesh and blood, there’s no way he would be able to perform the stunts, the martial-arts mash-ups and acrobatics on display in the spectacle that is Ong Bak 2. Blu-ray Picks for the Week of February 2

Okay, this is just ridiculous. I can’t afford all of these discs in one week! I had no idea that February would be such a big release month. No doubt to fall in line with Magnet’s release of the sequel, Ong Bak 2: The Beginning, making it’s Blu-ray debut on the same date. What a great day that’s going to be for martial arts fans and Tony Jaa fans in particular. I, for one, can’t wait! Details below: …Continued…

Ong Bak 2: The Beginning heading to Blu-ray in February

My friend Rupert has been lending me his Tony Jaa films lately (I promise, I’ll give them back soon!) and I’m totally blown away by the guy. Jaa that is, not Rupert (Um…you’re ok too, Rupert.) He’s a sort of modern, Thai Bruce Lee. The fighting style is totally different but the speed, elegance and raw ability to kick ass are very similar. I’m happy to see that Magnolia is bringing Jaa’s latest film, Ong Bak 2: The Beginning to Blu-ray in February. Details below: …Continued…
