I don’t think I’m alone in feeling that Arnold Schwarzenegger was born to play Conan. It’s the film role that began his trajectory to super-stardom and it’s the performance that remains, to this day, his most convincing. I kind of feel bad for skinny little Jason Momoa who fills the Governator’s mighty shoes in the upcoming remake of Conan The Barbarian, hitting screens later this summer. He’s going to have to put on about 100 pounds of pure muscle and an Austrian accent to convince me that the meaning of life is “To crush your enemies — See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!” And I just don’t see that happening. …Continued…
Disc details have yet to be officially announced by the studio but Amazon has put three Blu-ray versions of The Lion King up for pre-order today. …Continued…
The Digital Bits is confirming the rumour we reported last week, that the original 1982 Tron will be released on Blu-ray for the holidays this year. Specifically, the disc should hit shops in November, a good month before the sequel comes to theatres. In addition, the Bits has revealed that The Lion King will be making its way to Blu in about a year and a half, currently scheduled for an October 2011 release. Hakuna matata… …Continued…
