Rise of the Planet of the Apes Blu-ray coming in December

Rupert Wyatt’s reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise is absolutely brilliant and, hands down, the best adventure film of the blockbuster summer season. Trick 'r Treat Blu-ray Disc Review

This movie came out of nowhere. It hit me up-side the head with a perfect blend of comedy, atmosphere and pure horror that, as far as I can tell, has made it the ultimate Halloween experience committed to film. I predict that very soon, for a lot of people Trick ‘r Treat will be necessary viewing every October 31st, just as A Christmas Story has become a holiday staple every December. …Continued…

The Hannibal Lecter Collection Blu-ray Disc Review

Lecter or Lektor? Hopkins or Cox? Whatever flavour of brilliant man-eating sociopath you prefer, The Hannibal Lecter Collection Blu-ray set delivers. However, while often as tasty as some fava beans and a nice chianti, this meal isn’t quite as filling as it could be. Um…and by that I mean the box set is missing a bunch of stuff, like Red Dragon and bonus content. …Continued…
