Tombstone Blu-ray Disc Review

I recall Tombstone being the film that made me believe that I could enjoy a western. Before that time, I really went out of my way to avoid them, certain that I could never get into anything starring John Wayne or Clint Eastwood in a ten-gallon hat. Tombstone turned me around. Top 5 New Blu-ray releases for the Week of April 13

How does this even happen?! How do the studios deliver so many incredible weeks of amazing releases in a row, only to wind up with this anemic offering? Sheesh. I have to admit, aside from my number one pic there isn’t much I’m excited about this week. I’ll probably use my purchase dollars to pick up something from weeks past that I’ve missed out on…like The Lord of the Rings Trilogy or Red Cliff. …Continued…

Disney bringing Tombstone and Armageddon to Blu-ray

These two films are fan favourites but I’m only excited about one of them coming to Blu-ray. I have to admit, I’ve never seen Armageddon and I’m not sure if I ever will. It just seems too…90s-dumb. I’m sorry. I know it has a lot of fans. I’m just pretty sure I’ll never be one. On the other hand, I’d be happy to watch Tombstone once a week. It’s one of the few great, really entertaining modern westerns to come out of that decade. …Continued…
