Man, I love these DC Comics animated films! As much as I’m dying to see Warner and DC branch out and tackle more obscure characters and story-lines from their vast universe of super-hero properties, Batman: Under the Red Hood is a welcome addition to a growing library of wonderful animated adventures based on the dark, gritty world of the caped crusader. New Dark Knight: Ultimate Collector's Edition Blu-ray coming soon?

Do you see that video up above? That’s a clip from a new Dark Knight featurette called “Truck Flip”, detailing one of the practical effect shots from the film, with director Christopher Nolan and special effects supervisor, Chris Corbould narrating. This featurette is not included on the Blu-ray edition of the film that you probably already own. And it’s only a part of a package of 31-minutes of brand new, never before seen bonus content, only just revealed. Could this mean that Warner is preparing one of their Ultimate Collector’s Edition box sets for the film? …Continued…

I’ve been waiting for more news regarding the next DC Universe animated offering from Warner and finally, here it is! A press release outlining the details of Batman: Under the Red Hood just hit my inbox and I’ve got to tell you, I’m excited as hell about this film. These animated offerings from Bruce Timm and his crack team of 80-minute storytellers just keep getting better and better. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, an intelligent, well performed, well animated direct-to-video feature, is perhaps the crown jewel in the library of DC Comics’ cartoon movies. It manages to tell a fun little superhero tale packed with action and character in an all-too-brief seventy-five minutes.
