Along with Snow White, Pinochio, Fantasia and Bambi, Dumbo stands as one of the pioneering early works of Walt Disney’s animation studio. And I doubt it has ever looked or sounded better than on this 70th Anniversary edition Blu-ray! …Continued…
Okay, I had no idea that LEGO was making TV specials now. This is kind of cool. My nephew plays the crap out of all of those LEGO video games on his XBOX 360. I’ve played a few myself and I’ve got to tell you, they’re way fun. Really well put together with a great sense of humour. From the look of the trailer above, the LEGO Star Wars special, The Padawan Menace, shows all the signs of capturing the kid-friendly mayhem of the games. …Continued…

Shortly before hand, Warner announced the full details of the Blu-ray disc, which will be released everywhere this coming October. If the reviews and the trailer above are any indication, this is going to be one hell of a Batman film. …Continued…
Yeah, I know, the video embed above says “DVD Trailer” on it but you know the drill. Not unlike an evil, duplicitous ninja, this trailer serves two masters – advertising both the standard and the high-def disc releases of Kung Fu Panda 2, both apparently due out in October. …Continued…
We saw a tease for Warner‘s upcoming direct to video Batman: Year One animated film on the Green Lantern: Emerald Knights Blu-ray a month or so back. As is par for the course in those pieces, there wasn’t much in the way of finished animation in the clip. Just a lot of design work, storyboards and interviews. It was almost exactly a month ago that Amazon.ca leaked the package art and release date for The Clone Wars: The Complete Season Three Blu-ray set. Well, they got the art right but the date was actually a week off. Warner has officially announced the set for an October 18th release, with a collection of special features that mimic earlier sets. Expect further details in the near future, like the announcement of digibook packaging (I’m going to be pissed if they skimp out on the book this time!) and the non-revelation that the episodes are only encoded in compressed audio. …Continued…
Wow! This is unexpectedly early. Amazon.ca (a source of tons of early Blu-ray info this week!) has posted their pre-order page for the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Three Blu-ray boxed set. The release date is listed as October 25th, which matches up to the time frame of previous street dates. …Continued…
It’s been over a year since Dumbo was released on Blu-ray in Mexico and now finally, at long last, Disney has announced it’s heading north to the US and Canada. Dumbo will hit store shelves on September 20th, in a 70th Anniversary Blu-ray edition that seems to echo the previous release in every way, outside of the packaging. …Continued…
