More great news! Paramount has announced that they’re finally ready to unleash Polanski’s finest film on Blu-ray. Chinatown, one of my favourite films of all time and possibly the best and most influential modern noir, makes its HD debut this coming April 3rd, complete with “a new high definition transfer” and a surprisingly robust set of special features that includes a three part documentary and a commentary track by screenwriter Robert Towne and – wait for it – David Fincher?! …Continued…

This has been a stunning week of Blu-ray news (most of which I’ll get to posting in due time), all released surrounding the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The news that walloped me the hardest is that 2012 will be the year that Universal will finally offer up select titles from it’s beloved collection of monster films in new, restored Blu-ray releases!!
