Much like the recently announced-for-Blu-ray-release Willow, it’s been so many years since I’ve seen Who Framed Roger Rabbit I have no idea how I feel about the film itself. I vaguely recall enjoying it when it was released but was clearly not enthralled enough to seek out the film for a subsequent viewing in the ensuing years. I will say, however, that I’m extremely curious to see how Disney handles this release. The combination of cell animation and live-action footage was revolutionary back in the day but may cause a lot of issues in the creation of an accurate, clean high-res modern transfer. I’m excited to see the results when the Blu-ray is released on March 12.
