I’m a big fan of the original but, sadly, I missed out on the recent remake of the ’80s vampire horror/comedy classic Fright Night when it was in theatres. My pals seemed to enjoy it quite a bit so, on their many enthusiastic recommendations, I’m looking forward to the December 13th Blu-ray release from Touchstone (Disney) and Dreamworks. Screen Archives’ Twilight Time label, who recently grabbed up a lot of titles from the Columbia catalogue, is also set to release the original 1985 version of the film on Blu-ray on the same day in a limited edition of only 3000. There’s no pre-order up on their site yet but we’ve been able to suss out the disc details for you, listed below.
