[UPDATED] Hobo with a Shotgun coming to Blu-ray in July

Hobo With A Shotgun [Blu-ray] (2011)Oh man, they could’ve just called this film ‘Rutger Hauer with a Shotgun’ and I’d be in! There aren’t any details yet and even the package art is temporary but it looks like Magnolia Pictures will be releasing recent cult sensation Hobo with a Shotgun on Blu-ray this coming July 5th. Amazon has the disc available for pre-order, sporting an MSRP of $29.98 but currently selling for $20.99, their standard 30% off deal. I’m hoping the official announcement hits soon so we can all find out how many bonus goodies are on the disc. I’m expecting this one to be great, Magnolia, but you can keep your creepy footage of Hauer and director Jason Eisener cuddling in bed all to yourselves (see video above).

  1. [...] I’ve been waiting a long time to see this film. Since the fake trailer appeared as a part of Rodriguez and Tarantino’s Grindhouse interstitials (Well, to be fair, it was screened here in Canada along with the other trailers, as the winner of the SXSW trailer competition. I guess you folks south of the border didn’t get to see it on the big screen.) And now, having missed my chance to see the film on the big screen, I’m excited to catch this Canadian production on Blu. The Blu-ray of the digitally lensed film has been getting positive reviews for its technical merits and is also stacked with extras.
