Also, Ponyo has been on disc overseas for quite some time (on DVD since July in Japan!) and can be imported and played on a region free player, if you care to go to those lengths. Both kids have fallen in love with Totoro and Kiki. I was really looking forward to introducing them to Ponyo over the holidays as well. It's a shame. Let's hope the wait is worth it! I was looking forward to getting this disk to give her something to watch on the plane when we travel to Ecuador to spend Christmas with the in-laws. I guess it'll have to be her birthday present instead. Ponyo was my 3-year-old’s first movie in a theatre, and she loved it (my wife turned her on to Miyazaki early- she loves Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service).
