TV Shows on DVD.com dug up a pretty great scoop last night. It seems that Amazon.com will be releasing an exclusive Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Collection Blu-ray set on November 23rd.
There aren’t many details available on the page, outside of the 228 minute runtime and $29.99 sticker price but we can be almost certain that the set will mimic the previously available DVD set in almost every way. Amazon currently has the title listed as being a single disc. This is entirely possible (I’ve just watched the National Film Board of Canada‘s upcoming Blu-ray animated film collection, Animation Express which clocks in at 344 minutes and is a single disc release!) but may end up spreading the previous 3 DVD collection across 2 discs, when all is said and done. We’re hoping to know more soon and expect a press release any day now. I’m also expecting a pretty quick end to Amazon’s window of exclusivity on the title. Don’t be surprised to see the Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Collection Blu-ray on store shelves in the new year.
