Cameron Crowe has an inhuman ability to pick the perfect song for any movie scene. I’m convinced of this. In his film Say Anything Crowe made a classic of Peter Gabriel‘s In Your Eyes, blaring through the gettoblaster speakers of John Cusack ‘s character, Lloyd Dobler as he makes a final desperate play to win back the heart of Diane Court, played by Ione Skye. Sigh…80s perfection.
But honestly, Say Anything is a great film, critically acclaimed and constantly ranked among the best films of that decade, and is now on its way to Blu-ray thanks to Fox. The disc hits stores on November 3rd, packed full of special features. Let’s hope for a good transfer. Details below…
