Hitting shops on November 3rd, this set features the long awaited cut of the film that includes everything but the kitchen sink. You get all the footage missing from the theatrical cut, the extended and deleted scenes and the animated Tales of the Black Freighter woven into one 3 hour and 58 minute “Ultimate” cut of the film. I’m not sure if I can sit through all of that but I’m willing to give it a shot, at least once! I am sure the ultimate cut will be spread across 2 DVDs, as well as the motion comic. Which leaves some "making of" Documentaries , and "Under the Hood" on the fifth, and final disc. When New Line re-released the extended editions of the LOTR films they managed to fit the complete films and commentaries on single DVDs. So I feel safe thinking WB will do a similar thing. It's disgusting how greedy so many film companies are. While I understand the business side of this type of re-dip release practice it still doesn’t mean I have to like it. 5 discs in the DVD package is really hinting that the SR price will be painful to a huge amount of wallets.
