Trainspotting overdoses on Blu-ray in the UK
Danny Boyle‘s (Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later) breakout hit, Trainspotting hits Blu-ray disc in the UK this coming March 30, 2009 care of 4dvd. Once again, Amazon.co.uk is responsible for the tip-off but keeps us in the dark as to the vital statistics of the release. We do know that it will be a single disc and carry a suggested retail price of £24.99 ($37 USD). Amazon offers the disc for pre-order at a discounted £17.59 ($26 USD).
If you can’t wait for March, Amazon.com is offering a Japanese import of the special edition on Blu-ray, pictured at left. The 1080p/AVC encode doesn’t impress but the Dolby True HD audio won’t disappoint.
